Drop for Non-Attendance

Drop for Non-Attendance

Dropping a student for non-attendance is a process whereby an instructor determines a student has not attended in the first week and decides to submit a form to request that the student's enrollment unit drop the student from the class.

Not all instructors will follow this process; instead they may notice at the end of the term a student did not attend, so they submit a grade of EN/UEN/NEN with a 0 as the last week of attendance; this is when advisors may see students in their offices for retroactive petitions.

Sometimes students think that if they stop attending, their professors will drop them from the course. This is NOT the case,
